Jana Ghalayini explores an intricate connection between internal systems and external structures, drawing parallels between human anatomy, energy grids, and architectural forms.
Inspired by circulatory systems, including the cardiac parasympathetic nervous system, where one circuit regulates cardiac function and the other integrates heart and lung activity. This serves as a metaphor for an interconnected narrative of fight, perseverance, and resilience.

Ghalayini harmoniously blends whimsy with structure and spontaneity with intention to construct textured works that incorporate a diverse array of material by way of weaving, coiling, stitching, and mending. The bold and dynamic range of colours and structured architectural frameworks in contrast with fragmentations are telling of a history of repair, transformation, and adaptability of the materials at play.
