André Butzer

André Butzer (born 1973, lives in Berlin) is known for his provocative pop-expressionist paintings, which address the major social contradictions of our time. Elements from comics, Disney, and art history, among others, are incorporated equally into his intensely colorful and energetic paintings. Butzer is equally eloquent with words, and this volume, the fourth in a series, draws from the artist's ever-expanding archive. For this new book, Butzer's long-time  editor, Alexander Linn, spent over five years poring over countless documents and reviewing all of Butzer's publications from that period. The result is a valuable sourcebook containing texts, interviews, letters, and poems , as well as a transcript of the 2023 film " André Butzer, His Art and His Time ."
